How We'll Work Together

Just Breathe journal in individual therapy for adults in Wisconsin.

Therapy is shaped around you:

collaborative, responsive, and guided by your needs.

  • Open, genuine conversation

  • Curiosity over judgment

  • Mind-body awareness

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Creative, reflective exploration

There isn't one way to do therapy. We'll draw from different approaches based on what feels most supportive and meaningful to you.

Beyond Conversation

While conversation is often at the heart of therapy, it isn't the only way to explore what you're experiencing.

When you spend a lot of time thinking things through, it can be easy to lose touch with what you're noticing in your body or what may be difficult to put into words. Mindfulness, movement, and creative reflection offer different ways to slow down, tune in, and explore your experiences.

Depending on your goals, preferences, and what feels most supportive, we may incorporate these approaches into our work together.

When your mind is always thinking ahead, replaying, or trying to figure things out, it can be difficult to notice what’s happening in the moment. Mindfulness creates space to slow down and notice your thoughts, emotions, body, and surroundings with greater curiosity.

We often feel things in our bodies before we have the words to describe them, and in those moments, sitting still may not feel the most supportive. Gentle stretching, walking, and other mindful movement can offer an opportunity to explore what you’re experiencing, reconnect with your body, and create space for reflection.

Sometimes words don’t fully capture what you’re experiencing. Creative reflection may include painting, drawing, writing, or other expressive activities that offer different ways to explore thoughts, emotions, and experiences. No artistic ability or experience is needed.

Stepping outside can offer a fresh perspective. Outdoor sessions may include walking, sitting, or simply spending time in nature, creating a different kind of space to slow down, reflect, and explore what’s coming up for you.

You don't have to perform here.

Your experiences hold wisdom, and

there’s space for that to unfold.
